Hello all,

I stumbled upon this forum after I agreed to take a CB750 in trade for some work on a 900 custom. I am an amateur builder, nothing pro just a couple Honda 250's, HD XL's and V-Stars. I really liked working on the Honda the most because of the cost of parts and ease the bike takes mods. Also, I spent lest time messing with the motor, and more on the mods. hey guys how's it going?i'm considering a chop job on my 1982 cb650sc aka nighthawk i know that it is not what you do at hondchopper but wondering if maybe you would consider making an exception .i'm not sure of the avenues to take to get my build started .i really like all the work i've seen on the site and admire you all for the sick ass rides you've built.i'm only asking because i havn't found any sites for guys that are chopping cb650 sc bikes thanks lenny...

Hi all new to forum here. Looking to do a rigid project so glad I found such a great resource as this. Have ridden for years and restored one or two older classic cars but never built a bike. So questions will probably be a regular thing from me. Live in Eastern Iowa and somewhat new here too so dont really know whats available locally so will probably be posting wants as well.

I have been lurking in the shadows reading post for nearly 2 weeks now and thought I would register and start posting my million questions that I have in my head. First let me say that I am an old Harley guy (hold off on the rock throwin just yet), not one that just rides with other HD guys but one that rides with anyone that will not endanger me or the people I ride with. Hey I just picked up my cb750 for 300 bucks yesterday. I got a lot of work ahead but should be fun. First thing I got a oil leak on the left side I figure I need to rebuild the engine anyway so that will be the first thing I do. Anyway got to go to work.

Started posting so I'll do the intro. Started out making this bike with a CB350 engine that I got from my Father, but I got my hands on a CB750 engine. So the wife will be getting a CB350 bobber after I finish mine.

I have a Jammer 750 frame that has the "Velvet Glide" rear. I haven't seen another one like it...so if you have this frame as well...I have some questions. The rest of the bike is Harley. 16" front and back with Avon Mark II 5.00 x 16. Wide...

Hey all... looks to me like this is the best SOHC 750 board on the net! I am going to be purchasing a 78 f model very shortly! I was grinning ear to ear on my test ride! I'm gettin from the original owner and its been ridden, but taken care of. I already have a 99 HD superglide, an 01 Kawi 1500 and a 06 Kawi 2000. I think I need a bigger garage!!! LOL

I have already been lookin through posts and the site for any info up front that would be helpful... but feel free to...

unfortunately i had to set my project aside for some time. along with the time away from here, i also lost alot of the knowledge that i had learned. but anyway, i'm sure y'all will help me remember everything that i had forgotten. i hope all is still the same around here and i have to say i'm happy to be back. this time i'm gettin' her done. btw, i'm building an ex-drag bike ('77) into hopefully a badass little ground pounder.
