one step closer to riding it to the WHCM |

here it is all painted and polished...Ive been sick so it took me longer to get it done than I wanted...still have alot to go, but at least the paint is
finally done...only took me 50 hours or so in the booth..its totally different than I started out painting...changed my mind half way into it. it is a black
base with heavy gold metal flake with black pinstripes and blue marble panels that are actually seperated from the black pinstripes, by another gold flake
stripe...and yes that is gold leaf for the diamonds. have alot of other parts that are in silver flake as well, but theya re the smaller things like the
rockers and chainguard and shit like that. can not wait to get it put together. doing wires this week while she cures a little more.

With so much work being put into to it, hope it come together smoothly for you. Looking forward to meeting you after all these years. Hope you have a safe ride
down with Asphalt.
Any word on Frank/Pepper??
Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

I havent talked to frank in a couple of weeks, but as far as i know he is planning on being there for late sat or early sunday...has a graduation to go to for
his daughter on sat. as for it going together smooth...they never do. I will be happy if I can get the motor in without killing the damn paint. THEN I have to
make sure it runs right with the new carbs and pipes...I will be taking it out for a 4-5 hour ride before I head down south with it jsut to make sure
everything is working right...everything should be good...took the time to get everything right even down to new points and condensers and will be adjusting
the valves and all of that before hand...I want it to run as good as it will look...no point if it just sits there and looks good and you cant ride it. Im
really looking forward to riding the piss out of this thing all the way to the whcm. cant wait to meet all of you. I think I have only met about 4 people from
here and Ive been on this site for almost 8 years.
oh...and thanks for the compliments. |

You'll meet or exceed your qouta for sure at the Roost. Don't worry, the veterans will help you keep it together from sensory overload. So many names, So many faces, how will I ever keep everything straight in my mind ???? Just keep asking those that you do know, ( sort of ), what's his name, and him, and her, oh him too...
Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

asheville for a bit...more than likely would be stopping in wise as well...wont know for certain till I get closer to being finished...forgive me if I dont
keep my fingers crossed...need them to wire this thing.

Your going all over the place in circles huh? Asheville is an hour or 2 past the whcm and probably 4 hours past Wise, VA.
Which one of you are leading? LOL I'm just curious because he told me he'll meet us in Wise in the morning....which is really cool, because we can just keep snowballing all the way to the Roost, it would be great for us all to roll into Roy's at the same time....and I know the way, but you guys are coming from the northeast, right? Which means stopping in Wise is going to take you out of the way. Isn't it? Where exactly are you guys coming from? I'll check it out on the map. |

we are coming from NY and CT...straight down 81 all the way into VA where we would have to snake off a bit to hit Wise...26 is right off of 81...I think he
might have been planning on going in a slightly different route from wise which I am probably going to end up taking, but I need to hit asheville at some point
in my trip...doesnt have to be on the way in...I dont know what day you are talking about for the morning meet, but we had tossed around the idea of leaving
around 2am on the 18th...I just might need it a little later due to work...same day though...even if we left a 2am we wouldnt be there untill late
afternoon...its 11 hours in a car...would think more like 15 on the bikes with having to stop more often...I have no idea who is leading...im just
going...would love it if all of us could ride in a t once...man the more the better...imagine a line of honda choppers riding in...(I know some arent but we
can make believe)
