Since I've had the bike, the rear brake has always been soft and I've never been able to lock it up.......just thought it was normal.
also, it started to stick on shen I did stop......thought the shoes were worn.
this past weekend, ron and I decided to tackle it and see what the deal was. It turned out that the brake stay was in the wrong place. The bar that was on
it was too short for the longer Triton swingarm.........that caused the attachment point on the drum to be 3" forward from center.
we made a longer stay bar that brought the attachment point almost directly under the axle.
that did the trick........I'm amazed I was riding around like that. It is like night and day.
so any of you guys with longer swing arms, check out your geometry, and mounting......you might be surprised.
