Official Announcement
The time has finally come to announce this years 4th annual West Coast Honda Chopper Meet
It will happen the last weekend in July on the 24th,25th,and 26th

As many already know,2008 was to be our last year at the Gold Country RV park in Auburn,as it was a land lease and the owner passed
away.So his kids plan on selling the property to developers and making thier own fortunes. In these economic times,I wish them good luck with that.
So...after many phone calls and hours searching on the internet, and literally hundreds of miles of driving checking out various locations,( Thanks to Gratefuldog who actually found out about this place ) we have a new location for this years event.Due to above listed
reasons, and the fact that the CJMC changed the date of thier event to coincide with race schedules,(Apparently they've changed their plans
and will still be having their event on the same weekend, but we still have the problem of no suitable facilities in the area for our group. But a ride to the
swap meet will happen........
) this year
we'll be breaking away from thier event and basically flying solo. This will enable us to do our own thing without being tied to thier schedule.
We will be holding our event at Sopiago
Springs,in El Dorado county,so the distance to travel will be about the same as in the past, just a different highway.
Sopiago Springs is owned by an individual that is trying to launch a Motorcycle resort. He's done a lot of work on the place with more to go.For those
interested, there are 3 motocross tracks and 1 flat track if you have other toys you would like to bring.
This year, fees for camping will be $10.00 per person per night, and if you bring a dirtbike and want to try the tracks,he's asking a
$15 a day track fee.
As in the past,we will be feeding ya'all so you don't have to worry about choosing between paying for food or paying for gas to get there.
For activities this year ,we plan on doing a group ride, since riding is what motorcycling is all about, our raffle, and the ever popular "game".So
anyone that has parts or other items they would like to donate, they will be appreciated.
