Tom and I are still discussing this run. He has a big family reunion the week after and the run depends on business if he can make 2 so close together. Me..
depends on business in my shop whether the funds will be there. May just wind up surprising everybody if we show up. If funds are short we might end up drivin
around the lake instead of using the ferry. Who knows,just too early to tell but it would be cool to meet more midwest HCMF'S

Wolf .. keep me posted .. we can hook up along 90/94 somewhere and we can all travel together .. Looks like we may have a few from Minnesota at this point..
but.. ya never know..
I'm definitely going to drive down and around the lake .. that ferry deal is pretty spendy for me as well..$228 for a bike with one person and $293 for the van with one person.. roundtrip.. It saves about 4.5 or 5 hours of driving the extra 275 miles or so... (considering you wouldn't have to go to Milwaukee if we drove the whole way).. and the ferry takes 3.5 hours of travel.. and when you consider the loading and unloading and docking .. the time frame is probably a wash... So ... for me .. The ferry for $293 .. or $75 for the gas to drive it...??? and... if you're riding ... $228 for the ferry .... or $25 or so for the gas to ride it...?? ,, unless you have another person with you... then add another $128 to those prices .. per person..
Build it the way you want it ..... then learn how to ride it like you own it..

Yep Browd, I was with RK at the Machine Shop that night. Isn't Rocky's a great store!?! 74rat lives right in that neighborhood as well. Been around the
corner form you many many many times and never knew to call you. Count on some visits this year.
Hey Wolf, I sure hope you can make it. Hopefully you guys on the other side of the pond can figure out a way to roll as one group. Could make things a bit easier and cheaper for sure. Keep me in the loop as we get closer. I will monitor our space as people add on (or fall off) to make sure we are properly reserved.

Man if you guy going around the puddle ride, i think it is Bus. 131 that runs the shoreline, would take a little longer but man it is a gorgeous ride I am

US-2 runs the U.P
But he might be thinking of running the south end from Chicago I'm sure that is a whole lot faster than crossing th whole U.P. From Minnesota to the bridge takes 5 hours alone. |
