So as you all may or may not know. I haven't worked since Feb. 16th. No unemployment, nothing. I'v been living of a meager savings and well thats now gone. I have sent out so many resumes I can't even count how many. I haven't had one stinkin phone call for a job this hole time. I thought I'd have to go flip burgers or something. Well finally I get a call the other day for a Welding job in a neighboring city. Gonna be doing a bunch of aluminum fab work, and they are going to teach me how to tig weld aluminum also. I have worked with steel, and can mig weld steel, but never fabed or welded aluminum. So this will be a fun learning expierence and gonna get some valuable knowledge out of the deal. Pay aint great, but neither is not working. And it sounds like a great group of guys to work with. They said there is a trial period, and if things work out that they will give me a decent raise to what aluminum welders make. So wish me luck. I pray that this job lasts a long time. I'm sick of the economy messing with my life (income wise). I start mon. get to work 4 10hr days mon. thru thurs. 6am to 4pm with some occasional overtime on fri. done before noon.
Thanx for letting me rant. I just thought i'd tell all my friends that, Woo Hoo!!! Things are finally looking up!!
