1) I need high resolution photos for printing...if you're not sure, send em anyway. If I can use em I will, if not....well...I won't.
So a few of the submissions I've got are around 70-90-ish DPI...I need bigger....I'm aiming for the ballpark of 150 DPI or higher.
If you're not familiar with resolution, here's an idea: you know if you turn your camera to its highest setting you end up with a pic thats like 30" x 48" or some ridiculous shit. Thats what I need...those are typically 70-100 DPI but when I reduce them to 8.5" or smaller they actually go up in DPI and don't lose quality.
When you send me a pic thats already small, like 5" wide at 72 DPI, it is pixely when printed and therefore I cannot enlarge it any or it gets way worse and most often becomes unuseable at all.
2) Some of you had mentioned including additional dates besides WCHCM & WHCM...the reason I didn't have a lot of extra dates last year is because of various reasons. I'd rather not include a date that is not set in stone, but if you've got an event thats solid, like the 2 mentioned above, or Sturgis or something like that, hit me up with the info and I'll see what I can do.
3) Also last year I was wanting photos without people in them. Well I thought this year, if you want to be in the pic lookin all tough or sexy or whatever, with your bike, I'm not against, as long as its work & family safe, LOL
4) Also, since this is planned this year and not just answering a call, you've got time to be creative and come up with something killer! Just be sure the pics are high quality! Obviously pics that are taken with a nice background, will take the cake, over pics in front of your garage with your kid's big wheel in the background with chalk drawings all over the sidewalk, dig?
5) The calendars won't go to press until the beginning of December, so you've got plenty of time to get your submissions in. But realize, I've only got 12 pages, roughly 9x11 inches for layout, so I will be using what looks best and fits best....and what I like best.
6) I try to showcase a variety of styles: show, rat, daily rider, chopped, bobbed, or ??? As long as its gotta CB750 (69-78) motor in it, it will be considered. But just because you submit it, does not mean it will be in the calendar.
Lets see what ya got!
***Also include info/specs on your bike, your name (given and board), your location, etc.***
Here's my email for submissions: barry6st@hotmail.com
Thanks!
