My son got one in poor condition and he payed $400.00 for it lots of rust and need to replace both wheels and have the frontend rechromed or powder coated
needs rewiredand so on.. But I got the motor running for him and it runs very very good, I had a set of rebuild carbs. that fit right on the bike ..I found if
you build a set of carbs. you should spray them with WD-40 and bag them for storage.

I got the bike and I'm stoked! It looks a lot better in person. Thanks to everyone for your advice and encouragement to buy it. I've posted a meet at

Thanks for all the help. I just tried starting the bike, but no luck- I want to run everything by you guys to see if I'm doing anything wrong, since the
guy who sold it to me said he got the motor running fine less than a week ago.
The battery is dead, so I hooked it up to jumper cables. Tested the horn and it works, so I think the electrical side is OK. Flipped the choke, poured gas into the tank. Turned the petcock on- I need to get it replaced, because its leaking. First I tried the electric start, but it just buzzes. Then I tried kickstarting about 15 times, and it doesn't seem to do anything. On a side note, gas is leaking from under the carbs. I'll try to post a video of the process when I get my camera back tomorrow haha- if anything it should be funny watching me try to kick start the beast.

Don't bother wearing yourself out, take the tank off, loosen everything attached to the carbs and take them off, either a float is stuck or a gasket is
warped something is wrong, and you start it with gas all over the motor and you could have a fire before you get a chance to ride it.
check the battery charge on a machine, check carbs for clean and float adjust, pull the plugs, check them, check the oil, both condition and level. hell, guy lied about this much, change the oil and filter anyway, look at the points, check all the obvious, then try to start it and it may go, Got a Clymers, right?
