Okay... here's the run down the best I can explain it
Controlling Emails is done by CONTROLLING SUBSCRIPTIONS to THREADS.
#1 if you START the thread yourself, you'll automatically be subscribed to it if you check the box "SUBSCRIBE TO THIS TOPIC" that appears under the dialog box you type in when you write a message.
#2 if you are visiting someone else's thread, look way down at the bottom of the page ...after everyone's replies ...underneath the QUICK REPLY BOX ... underneath the shortcuts... Underneath where is says Hondachopper.com CB750 SOHC Discussion Board > ODDZ n' ENDZ' or whatever
there are 2 SUBSCRIPTION LINKS at the TOP and there are 2 SUBSCRIPTION LINKS at the BOTTOM of each thread. They both do the same thing ... that is they give you control of subscribing to the postings on this thread.
basically you have 2 choices:
Option A: Click to Subscribe by RSS OR
Option B: Click to receive E-mail notifications of replies
CLICK OPTION B!!!! EMAIL
done
There is also a place in your profile where you can control your subscriptions:
Click on the Navigation Box in the upper right hand corner
Click EDIT LAYOUT
Click NOTIFICATIONS
Click SUBSCRIPTIONS
there you can view/edit modify subscriptions
