I have a springer front end that doesn't have a steerer tube , don't care to have to make one just need to be told how to do it safely . If anyone can
help I need it please

steerer tube? you mean a stem? I am having one made now by the guy raking my trees, perchance he can make another, unless it is something you want to do. he
did up a drawing from a stock stem I gave him for that purpose. but will it work with the springer you have as far as height?

I work on bicycles so maybe I'm calling it by it's wrong name. I need the piece that the bearings for the neck attach to and the triples attach to .
each of my plates are 3/4 in. thick. and yes if he is doing it and I can afford it I would be grateful

I'll have to ask, I am doing some things for him, so I am not certain of the price, but I'll call him tonight and mention it.
I did look ath teh drawings and there will be threads on the bottom of this stem, does that suit you to thread it into the bottom triple tree? May have to have that threaded, unless you have a hole size and then I can see if he will make it to fit your hole in the bottom tree and you can have it welded in place? get back with me on a tight dimension on that hole.

top hole measurement is .986 , Bottom hole is .741 I don't have a stock neck to measure. I only have the one on my running bike. But it looks like the
bottom race is bigger than my lower hole. So he could step it down from a flanged lip to seat the lower race to my hole size then tap it internally for a
locking bolt from underneath .

The hole in the bottom triple tree is all we care about, he is making a stock Honda stem, if you want to weld it in, or screw it in, that is what we need to
know, if your tree is not threaded now, then need that smooth hole size so this stem will slide in and be welded at the bottom, and how thick is that bottom
plate?
He has my stock neck,

threaded then as my bottom plate is chrome plated and I would hate to ruin the chrome. The plate is 3/4 in. thick. I measured it @ 19mm.
